Tyler Maynard (The Little Mermaid, Altar Boyz) will join the cast of off-Broadway’s Silence! The Musical on May 4 in the role of Sgt. Pembry. The recently extended Silence of the Lambs parody continues through September 1 at the Elektra Theatre.
In Silence! The Musical, rookie FBI agent Clarice Starling matches wits with the brilliant but insane cannibal, Dr. Hannibal Lecter, in order to catch the mysterious serial killer known only as Buffalo Bill. Clarice faces her own demons while racing the clock to unlock Lecter’s clues before another innocent girl is killed and skinned by Buffalo Bill. The tounge-in-cheek musical features a book by Hunter Bell, music and lyrics by Jon and Al Kaplan, and direction and choreography by Tony winner Christopher Gattelli.
Maynard will join a cast that stars Sean McDermott and Laura Jordan as well as David Ayers, Callan Bergmann, Ashlee Dupré, Howard Kaye, Jeffrey Kuhn, Ronica V. Reddick, Kimberly Stern, Natalie Joy Johnson and Chuck Ragsdale.
Maynard appeared on Broadway in The Little Mermaid (as Flotsam), Mary Poppins, Mamma Mia! and On a Clear Day You Can See Forever. Maynard won a Theatre World Award and received a Drama Desk nomination for his breakout role as Mark in the off-Broadway musical Altar Boys.
